Curriculum & Instructional Programs
- If seen during class or causing a disruption, staff may confiscate the item, notify the parent or guardian, and require that it be picked up by an adult.
- We understand some families may want their child to have a phone for safety. In these cases, students must turn in their phone to the teacher each morning. It will be kept in a locked location and returned at the end of the day. We will follow these procedures for securing cell phones
- Students put their phone in their assigned number slot in the class lock box each morning during arrival in their AM class.
- Phones should be powered OFF.
- Students should sign and date the Sign In/Out sheet indicating they are turning in their phone for the day.
- The class lock box travels with the class when they transition to their PM teacher.
- During dismissal, the student’s PM teacher will return phones and student should sign out their phone on the Sign In/Out sheet.
