Shalom Health Care Center is a federally qualified health center. Shalom has partnerships with 26 schools across the Indianapolis area. The majority of the schools are staffed with an advanced practice provider (APP), which can be a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. The APP provides advanced practice assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. When a student is evaluated in the school-based clinic, they are receiving high quality care similar to their primary care provider or an urgent care. Students must have a valid Shalom consent-to-treat form completed and signed to be evaluated in the clinic.
